Spring Break...

With only a day and half of spring break vacation left, I'm ready to have the boys head back to school. Although we had a great time, we are also as of today starting to really get on each other's nerves. The boys are intentionally pushing each others buttons, and the boys are unintentionally ripping the buttons right out of me.

We had record highs in Minnesota this week, which means lots of outdoor time. Walking, biking, parks and family football. So nice to get out enjoy some sunshine and breathe fresh air. Mason also had a Birthday this week. He turned 5. I'm at a loss for words and a little emotional over how fast time seems to move. A new idea we are trying for Birthday's... the Birthday Boy choses an experience to participate in as a family as opposed to buying things, that I end up stepping on, cursing under my breath over, than cleaning up. In December Bayley chose Nickolodean universe. This week Mason chose Water Park of America. We went with G-pa Kev (my dad), Auntie Carly (my little sister, know to us as Gnarley), and Gnarley's BF Tucker (known to us as Tuck-cedo). We had a blast the kids did all the water slides, nice to get into water after a long winter being bundled up.

We spent all week at my My mom and Scott's house, dog sitting. Kind of a nice little getaway from the same routine at home. Although I'm excited to get back home now. My mom and scott were in Florida, looking for a place to buy for retirement. We go to pick them up tonight, my fingers are crossed that I may have a florida house to visit during Old man Winter.

Bayley had a little spring break trip to the emergency room this week as well. A few weeks back, while doing the old Kramer (Seinfeld) slide. He got a splinter on my hardwood floors. I pulled it out (or so I thought), put anti-biotic ointment on and wrapped it in a bandage. End of story...NO! On wednesday after a play date with his best friend Conner, he went back to Jay's (Bayley and Mason's dad, My "dear" EX) in tears because his foot hurt so bad. Back story: This winter Bayley ski raced, his boots made his toe nail turn black and it is now close to falling off. Jay thought the toe nail was bothering him, took the band aid off, that we put on every night so Bayley doesn't snag his toenail on his sheets, and found that it was not his toenail at all. Under his toe where the splinter had gone in was now black and there was a hot red patch running around his toe and up his leg to just past his ankle. Jay took him to the emergency room and sure enough there was still splinter in there and the infection was now spreading up his foot and leg. Eeeeek. They gave him a shot in the bum (to which he took the opportunity for the next two day's to say every time he sat down) Owwwwwwww, my butt hurts (in his best hillbilly impersonation, for some reason?)! He has been on antibiotics now for 3 days and is feeling better, put his foot into a shoe and played outside today!

Last night at midnight I took the opportunity to buy New Moon on iTunes. Watched it today...I love it...Might just have to pick up the book eclipse again (this would be the 5th time), to refresh myself for the next movie. :))

Well until next time...hope you all enjoy your spring break plans as much as we did. Monday is my first REAL day at my new job, I'm excited to get into my new routine, even if a bit scared about leaving the kids until 6p every night. Dinner should be an interesting task now without the day to prep. Ha. I'll just have to endure.

The pictures below are of the water park.

Peace...

A little about The Foster Triad...

Welcome,

Thanks for reading. This is new to me (Megan/Muggs/Mom...), I thought I would give it a shot. I am Muggs, just turned the big 3-0. I also just recently became divorced, moved twice, cut my bangs, went back to school, started a new job, and ... (better save some stories for later). What is not new is that I am MOM, I have two remarkable boys. Bayley is 8 born on New Years Eve, and Mason is 5 born on St. Patrick's Day.
I know...
We live in Stillwater, Mn. Most of our friends and family are close and may well be apart of our stories. We are happy and healthy (Most of the time), and we wouldn't ask to be anything other than The Foster Triad!

I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with all of you.

Below are some Candid's...
